Remembrancers

When they have asked
remember me
will they remember how
I loved music
the metronomic change of poem
bring gently the images assuage the burn
I will smile for you
from within inquisitive bureau drawers
pass fleshy exchanges of scarlet mouthed mirrors
tenderly black, unalarming.
