The Rain and The Trees

The rain brings hope to the fields of drought,
To the thirst of animals,
To the need of plants.

The rain is a refreshing drink,
A cool thirst quencher,
A life source.

The rain trickles down,
Splashes down,
Pours down.

The rain collects in leaf pools of the awaiting trees.
When the wind commands,
The rain pools empty to the things below.

The Rain And The Wind.

The wind commands often,
While I walk slowly underneath,
What I thought was protection from the rain.

What I thought was a friend, was really
An officer? A soldier? A sergeant?
of the Tree Rain-Bomb Squad.
